With around 7,500 students, Trier University of Applied Sciences is the second largest university for applied sciences in Rhineland-Palatinate.

In addition to excellent teaching, Trier University of Applied Sciences is also characterized by high-performance and application-oriented research. In particular, it distinguishes itself through three future-oriented research areas "Applied Material Flow Management", "Intelligent Technologies for Sustainable Development" and "Life Sciences: Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology, and Biotechnology". In 29 laboratories as well as 14 institutes and competence centres, students and lecturers conduct interdisciplinary research in national and international alliances to find sustainable solutions for science, industry and society.
